Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that he has faced international pressure not to enter Rafah, but that the decision for the operation would not change.

According to him, he was told not to enter Rafah after United States President Donald Trump warned of a ban on the supply of weapons.

"I respect the President very much. He was with us at the beginning of the war, but we have no choice. We will go in, and if necessary, we will fight with our nails," Netanyahu said.

He added that there are times when, in his opinion, one must say "no" even to the most powerful allies, including the American leader.

Netanyahu also claimed that during a meeting with former US President Donald Trump, he had communicated the plan for Iran without seeking approval.

"We are going to Iran. I did not ask permission, I simply informed him of our plan," he said, emphasizing the nature of Israel's decision-making on security matters.

Otherwise, Netanyahu and Trump have recently had disagreements about the ceasefire with Iran. /Telegraph

Sipas tij, atij i ishte thënë që të mos ndërmerrej hyrja në Rafah, pasi presidenti i Shteteve të Bashkuara, Donald Trump kishte paralajmëruar ndalimin e furnizimit me armë.

Netanyahu gjithashtu pretendoi se gjatë një takimi me ish-presidentin amerikan Donald Trump, i kishte komunikuar planin për Iranin pa kërkuar miratim.

“Ne po shkojmë në Iran. Nuk kërkova leje, thjesht e informova për planin tonë”, tha ai, duke theksuar natyrën e vendimmarrjes së Izraelit në çështjet e sigurisë.
